Happy Easter!!

The Easter bunny got up VERY early at our house this morning to beat Gabe out of bed-- 04:45 to be exact! I'm amazed he could find places to hide all the eggs in the dark...

Gabe woke up to two Easter baskets and a dad who seemed more excited than he was! Finding eggs with Gabe this year was so much fun because he had a story for every egg he found. He is so much like his dad and he's going to have such a fun sense of humor when he grows up. Here's a few pictures of our egg coloring yesterday with grandma and the big egg hunt this morning:

Notice the Easter bag? Gabe finished decorating this bag all by himself so he could use it to find eggs!

Vacation Pictures

Whew, a lot has happened since my last blog entry. We took a little vacation to Reno for a few days and had a great time. We spent one day in Virginia City hanging out in the old Saloons and then Dave, Dad, and Gabe went to Cabelas the next. We won enough money to keep us playing the whole vacation and actually came home with money in our pockets! If you've ever taken a road trip with a 4-year-old you'll know what I'm talking about but Gabe talked from the second we got in the car to the second we stopped somewhere. He was very excited and we were exhausted by the time we got there! Here's a few pictures:

Two new ones

Here are two of my newest layouts that are really fun:

This one has lots of Grungeboard on it...ohhhh, it's so much fun to play with!

I had to do this layout because now Gabe thinks he has super vision. It must be something like super powers to a 4-year old but I think it works in the opposite way. Dave and I happened to be walking by his bedroom door yesterday and caught him in the act of dumping every single toy out of his toy boxes onto the floor. All we could do was laugh because he didn't do it...his "super vision" did.

I have spring fever!

Wow, these really nice days have sure made it hard for me to stay inside and scrap! I think it's spring fever but could be just plain lazy...nahhh. So now that I'm over the devastation of feeling old because Jaron turned 21 this week I suppose my life can go on (LOL). Thank goodness I have still Tanner and Gabe to give me a few more years of scrapping!

Here's some of the layouts I've done this week:

This is the picture of Tanner and Kayla before Cinderella Ball.

I happened to be browsing through some of our Italy pictures the other night and ran across this picture of the little Italian man on the coast of Italy. For me he made the whole trip. This was Italy...he was Italy. Italy has huge cities, dirty streets, and amazing history. But my favorite part was the vineyards, lemon trees, and the beautiful people we met along the way. I kept this layout simple so that the picture of this man would stand out.

Finally, I struggled to find a picture for the "Together" photography challenge at Scrapbook Dreamer. I ran across this photo of Gabe and all of his grandmas when he was only a month old. A lot has changed since this picture was taken so I thought it would be worth creating a layout to document everything our family has been through. Besides, I was dying to use these new Bisous papers!

Finished this one this morning...whaddya think?

I plan to do a little more doodling on this one-- but this is the only layout that I've actually finished this week. The others are blahhhhh. Anyway, I'm off to bake my son a birthday cake because he'll be 21 on Tuesday. Boy, do I feel old!!!
