Here are some new layouts

Here are the new layouts that I promised. I seem to be having trouble getting my scanner to scan the colors in well so I have been taking pictures of them and uploading them that way. I'm still not happy with the results but I do love these layouts. I think "A special Gift from Frosty" is my favorite so far.

I did both of these layouts for various challenges at Scrapbook Dreamer. Oh yeah, did I mention that I love Stickles by Ranger?

"Mom, I shot a bid doose!"

How cute is this? Dave and Gabe came home yesterday from checking traps and Gabe came in the house to announce..."Mom, I shot a bid doose!" Of course Gabe has trouble with his "g's" so that made it all the more cute. Since I'm usually the picture taker, I didn't think there were any pictures of the occasion but Dave handed me the camera with a big old smile and these are some of the pictures he and Dixie took.

More Christmas Pics

December is almost over!

Whew, what a busy month! It's been a while since I updated my blog so I will try to get caught up. Christmas this year was a hoot. I took two weeks vacation to enjoy the holiday and must say that I have spent every day busily preparing for Christmas, cleaning my house, and getting some much needed R&R. I haven't had much time to scrap until today but I finally got a few pages done that I am pretty proud of. I will upload them as soon as the stickles is dry. I've tried to rush the drying process (not cool) and have ended up with glitter glue all over myself...at least I'm very sparkly today!

Christmas came for Gabe on the 23rd when Frosty showed up on our doorstep again this year with a gift. Gabe was so excited that all he could say was "srosty the froman!" It took a little bit of coaxing to get him to give Frosty a hug and say thank you but he did it and I got some good pictures.

As usual Christmas eve was at mom and dad's house--and boy was it hectic. It's interesting how we all have kids around the same age again. There were 8 little kids running around plus all of the big ones...add that in with all of the adult conversation and you have a pretty loud bunch. The food was awesome and so were the gifts. I had a great time.

Since we were heading out to Dufur early the next morning, we opened presents with Jaron, Meg, and Tanner on Christmas Eve. It was really nice to have the boys all together for the holiday. It always makes me a little sad when they go home.

Finally, we went to Dan and Nancy's house on Christmas day for dinner and a gift exchange. Unfortunately Dixie was under the weather and wasn't able to make it but everyone else was there. The boys rode the 4-wheelers in the snow and stood around the bonfire outside. Gabe made a haul with all of the gifts this year and even got a new Gator to drive around. Merry Christmas!

New Layouts

I thought I would share my newest layouts with you all. Sheesh, it feels like I haven't been in my scrap room for weeks-wait, I haven't!!

Since I'm still working on my fall pictures I thought the one of Gabe innocently (yeah, right) picking the pear at Draper's would be fun as well as the one I took of him on Santa's lap. Believe it or not, we ended up on a search and destroy mission to find Santa in the new Super Walmart. Once Gabe heard the announcement that Santa was in the building we had to find him! Holy smokes that place is big and they had Santa stuffed in the back of the garden center. I was pretty surprised that Gabe wasn't afraid of him and even put in his order for Christmas presents. So much for our state kicker check...it looks like we're going to end up with a new motorized car of some sort. Oh well...

Giving Thanks

I thought I would start my new blog with a few pictures from Thanksgiving. Dave's brothers and their families came over for the day and brought his mom too. This was a special Thanksgiving for baby Sonny since it was his first! Gabe spent all week waiting for Karl to come but unfortunately was a little under the weather. You know that didn't stop him though...he played, and played, and played!
