Driveway sledding

Some say be careful what you wish for... well, I wished for snow and we finally got some! Sunday brought us about 4 inches and it was just enough to do some sledding on the circular driveway around our house. Dave pulled Gabe and I around with the 4-wheeler until I was soaked and half frozen. We ended the day with hot cocoa and warmed up by the patio fireplace. Here's some pictures:

I think I've lost my mojo-- has anyone seen it?

I struggled a little with two of these layouts but I'll share them anyway. They just didn't seem to come together like usual. The first one is of Gabe and my mom. It's a sweet picture and I am really loving the Cloud 9 papers right now.

This next layout was some Christmas pictures that I took of Gabe one day when we were making paper ornaments in the scrap room. I actually outlined the letters with a green permanent marker (to match the green in the paper) and then covered the letters with stickles. It produced a nice look but I'm just not crazy about the layout as a whole.

Finally, the last layout is one that I did for a layout tag game at Scrapbook Dreamer. It's kind of plain for the types of layouts that I usually do but I really like how it turned out. The picture is of Rachel, my cousins little girl.

I must brag...

Oh yeah, bragging isn't nice! Tonight is Cinderella Ball at the High School and Tanner stopped by with his girlfriend Kayla on the way to his very first formal dance as a Freshman. Both of them looked so nice, here's a pic:

Is it ever going to snow?

So far we have had no snow to speak of this year and I'm pretty bummed about it. I love it when it snows because there is something to be said for cuddling up on the couch with a cup of hot tea and watching the birds hang out around my many bird feeders. We did get a few flakes last weekend and it was just enough for me to snap a few pictures of Gabe trying to catch some snowflakes on his tongue. Too cute!Gabe and Dave have been doing some trapping lately and go out several times a week to check their traps. I've been out with them a few times and was able to get some really great pictures of the both of them at sunset along the canyon rims. Now I must say that I'm not a big trapping fan but I love the fact that Dave uses this time to spend with Gabe. He's such a good dad and Gabe is a very lucky boy. Here's some of the pictures I took:

Formatting Issues

OK, so my computer skills aren't the greatest and I still need to figure out the formatting for this blog. I guess I'm going to have one of the boys come over to give me some advice...

Where does the time go?

Now that the holidays are over my friends have been coming over to scrap again on Wednesday nights. It was just to hectic to get much done in December but I have been able to crank out the January challenge layouts for Scrapbook Dreamer. I still have a few to go but I've done more this month than in the past. Here are a few:
Trick-or-Treat is a layout that I did for the scraplift challenge of one of Sara's layouts. I love the texture of this one and the jagged edges is great for a Halloween page.
Papa's Little Storyteller is in honor of the fact that Gabe never shuts up from the time he wakes up until the time he goes to bed. I love him to death but boy can he talk and tell some tall tales!!
This layout was created for the "Use Your Metal Stash" challenge.
This is one of those funny pics I took of Karl at Thanksgiving. He and Gabe have so much fun together. This challenge was the "Manufacturer's Challenge" using Reminisce products.
I've done a bunch more but here are the last two I'm going to post. One is of Carie and Jason and the other is the 2-pager I did of Thanksgiving at our house. The Thanksgiving page was for the January Sketch Challenge. Both are fun.
