Tanner's Buck

For someone who is just getting over a round of the swine flu...it sure didn't stop him from hunting. Tanner got another nice buck this year (4X5) despite a broken hand and the flu. He was pretty happy but it makes me wonder if he's going to get a let down when he shoots something smaller that a 4-point in the future. lol

Doesn't it just figure? We have a great new football coach, a team that just might win a game this year and what happens?? Tanner breaks his hand in practice...hmm. Hopefully, he'll only be out until the cast comes off.

Football season has officially begun..

Friday night was Tanner's first football game of the season. The White Buffalo's have a new coach and the kids seem pretty excited about him. Here's a picture of the starting line-up...Tanner is #64.

Unfortunately they lost this game but the season is just getting started.

Antelope Hunt in the Steens

For those of you that don't know Dave took Gabe on his first Antelope Hunt in the Steens Mountains last week. The hunted with my dad, brother, nephew and a few of Dave's friends. I think Gabe got his little legs walked off but they both had a great time. Here's a few pictures from their hunt:

Scrappy Inspiration

The August "Nature's Playground" Kit from Citrus Tree Studio has been revealed and it is beautiful. I really enjoyed working with the Jenni Bowlin "Front Porch" Collection and the GCD Studios "Chic Bebe" line. Cindy also included a little Maya Road Butterfly Album and lots of other goodies to make it a really fun kit. Here are my projects as well as my challenge layout for the month:

Here are some close-ups of the banner. For both designs I used glossy accents to give the butterfly's the shiny appearance of tile. The red ones I used the patterned paper from the kit and applied Pink Paislee Press-on's for my design and then covered the entire thing with the glossy accents. Viola...it came out cool.

And finally here is my color challenge layout for the month:

I'm bummed that this picture is so dark because the cardstock base is that beautiful embossed cardstock from Bazzill. It's nice stuff!

Vacation

Aww, vacation. Don't you just love them? Unfortunately, this week was not long enough. We spent time at the fair, went camping for a few days and now it's time to get back to work tomorrow. So here are a few photos of our adventures this week:
